iCY HOT

Hello!

Thanks for checking out my new blog.

As a plus size fashionista myself, I have done tons and tons of research to find plus-size attire that is not only trendy, but comfortable. You'd be surprised where you can find some really cute plus-size outfits. I thought since I've had such good luck with clothing, accessories, make-up, hair products, really anything a plus-size gal could need, I should start a blog to share it with my other fellow sexy plus-size ladies!

So, all of the entries will NOT be this rough, but since it is the first one, I have to see what works and what doesn't.

I wanted to share the outfit and make-up I'm wearing today.

Super-blurry picture of the whole outfit, so my apologies!

Today I am wearing a sheer black blouse with a thick navy blue tank top underneath, super cute "glacier" leggings and leather boots.

The leggings are extremely comfortable but give a little "pizazz" to the whole outfit since the rest has little design. I usually like to pair my outfits depending on how "loud" something is. For example, I would never wear these leggings with a really tight shirt that was red and pink sequin all-over. That just wouldn't look good!

It's all about figuring out how to flatter your figure. My "problem" area is my tummy, so I have to wear tops that are a little looser like this one so I can draw all the focus to my legs.

The blouse and the leggings are from Forever21 and can be found here:
blouse -  this isn't the exact blouse but this one is cuter and has the same affect!

They were out of stock on the leggings, but you can use any type of crazy leggings to pair with the top. Forever 21 has a lot of great legging styles.

I bought the boots from Skechers, which is sort of weird for us plus-size girls to think of since boots don't normally fit us the same way that they fit other girls.  I couldn't find them on the Skechers site (I think because they're old) but here are a pair that I actually own as well. Very similar - http://www.shoes.com/en-US/Product/19755-5200928/Skechers/Black/Womens+Natives-+Thunder+Creek.aspx

The tank top was from Torrid. Although you can't see it, the tank is super long and very comfortable. Of course they didn't have a navy one, but the tanks I always stick to at Torrid are from the "twist tee" line - http://img.hottopic.com/is/image/HotTopic/520787_hi?wid=199&fmt=jpeg&qlt=85,0&op_sharpen=1&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.0,0.0,0,0&iccEmbed=0

Onto make-up!

My favorite thing about make-up is you can find REALLY good products for cheap. I know people like MAC and all of the expensive brands, but I have found pretty much equivelant/better than those product for a much better price. Not knockin' that stuff, just saying you can find just as good of a product for a cheaper price!

Below are my "go-to" products.

So the foundation and powder I use are from the Neutrogena line. I like the Neutrogena "Healthy Skin" Compact make-up. It is a liquid form but doesn't clog your pores like a lot of other foundations do. I pair this with the "Healthy Skin" pressed powder for a finished look.

Both of these powders are around $10-$15, but they last me a good two months with every day use. You don't need to use that much product to get a great look.

I use a blush palette from Covergirl called "Instant Cheekbone, Contouring Blush." This should run you about $5 and also lasts a long time.
The above blush is the one I used today, but I have a couple different selections of the contouring blush palettes depending on what I'm wearing.

Today, I'm wearing Covergirl's Outlast Lip Stain. I always resort to these lipsticks because they're cheap, they don't dry out your lips, it comes with a lip gloss that doesn't remove the color and they're pretty cheap. Oh! And they last for freakin' ever! I've had this color for over a year and it hasn't been emptied yet!

All of the eye products I use are Almay. Their products never irritate my eyes and it doesn't fade during the day at all.

Above is the waterproof liquid eye-liner. I use it for the top part of the lid - "the wings" as I call it! This should run you about $5-$6 and lasts for a good month with every day use.

I SWEAR by this eyeliner (below). It doesn't come off during the day what-so-ever and it doesn't smudge. It's the best thing I ever found!

This should run you about $5-$6 and lasts a good two to three months with every day use.

You can find these products in practically any super-market, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy (that's where I buy mine)... any of those will work.

I will also start posting tutorials for make-up and hair some time in the near future!

Welp, I guess that's it for now! Let me know what you gals think!
